Geoffrey Harden Design and Build

I'm Geoff Harden, the owner and principal designer of Harden & Company. A native of Washington, DC, I have a BFA in Design from the University of Denver and studied at the Corcoran School of Art and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I designed both residential and commercial spaces in New York City before my family moved to the Hudson Valley full-time in 1988.

I've worked as a builder, contractor, and building designer, supervising millions of dollars worth of work on projects large and small. I've designed, renovated, and created homes, additions and outbuildings for residential properties all over the Catskills and Hudson Valley. My commercial clients include Colony Woodstock, Catskill Corners, the Copper Hood Inn and Spa, the Woodstock Day School, and many more.

My favorite part of the process is sitting down with clients and listening to their ideas. I'm comfortable working with people with predetermined criteria, people who want to collaborate, and people who need full-service attention to translate their vision into a reality. When I'm not working on buildings, I enjoy playing and recording with bluegrass and old-time string bands throughout the region. 

My business is named for the company I keep. With many years of experience in all phases of design and construction in the Hudson Valley, I've worked with hundreds of experienced professionals, gathering a team of qualified and trusted co-workers: carpenters, plumbers, electricians, excavators, stonemasons, painters, roofers, landscapers, green energy specialists, restoration experts, artisans and specialists.
